What we can offer
We offer a world-class specialized and efficient service in highly renowned clinics in and around Geneva. We offer daily outpatient appointments and we can offer remote video-consultations for patients living outside Switzerland or who cannot visit us in Genolier or in Geneva. We offer on-site or remote follow-up consultations to all our patients.
We are happy to provide second opinions, on site or remotely if you wish to submit your documentation, imaging, test results and medical reports.
We do offer a wide range of surgical procedures in a state-of the art modern environment and with a team of very experienced anesthesiologists. We offer simple diagnostic thoracic procedures (i.e. thoracoscopy or mediastinoscopy, biopsy, pleural drainage) where patients are discharged the same day or after an overnight stay, minimally-invasive thoracic surgery or classical hospitalization of 3-5 days for more invasive or complex procedures (i.e segmentectomy or lobectomy of lung, debridement of empyema, pleurodesis, pneumothorax surgery ….). Lastly, we offer longer hospitalization for patients requiring complex or extensive thoracic operations and intensive care (i.e extended pneumonectomy for lung cancer, pleurectomy/decortication for mesothelioma, chest wall resection and reconstruction).
We will look after you personally throughout your hospitalization and liaise with your family doctor or specialist at home. We will forward them all your tests results, imaging reports, operative note and discharge summary with prescriptions and guidance for follow-up.
We accept to transfer and treat patients who have complications from surgery or procedures in other hospitals / clinics on a case by case basis and by previous agreement only.
We do accept emergencies. We have an accident and emergency department on site at Clinique de Genolier with 24/7 cover by senior consultants in emergency medicine and intensive care. We are used to treat chest trauma or injuries caused by skiing , mountain biking and other sports, as well as road traffic accidents. We have both trained and worked in large trauma centers and are familiar with the trauma setting. We can request multiple opinions from our colleagues orthopedic surgeons, visceral surgeons, neurosurgeons or urologists, interventional radiologists, intensive care and other specialists in case of polytrauma.
We have a dedicated international patient coordination service on site and our qualified interpreters will assist you in all your demands (appointments, procedures, pricing, accommodation, visas, hospital transfers).
